Jonathan Waters was born and grew up just a stone’s throw from the office and has lived in the Ipswich area most of his life. Now in his 34th year in estate agency, he has previously held a number of posts within the industry including Chairman of the Guild of Independent Estate Agents. He is very keen on the regulation of the industry to improve standards and is keeping a close eye on the government report calling for all estate agents to be licenced and adhere to a strict code of practice. Photography has been a lifelong passion for him, and he has previously worked as a professional photographer and trained many staff in specialist estate agency photography. He is an expert at the visual promotion of a property to look it’s absolute best. His previous work in the planning department for Suffolk Coastal District Council saw him deal with the original planning applications for Grange Farm, Bixley Farm, Brookhill Park and a lot of Martlesham Heath. He has a very good working knowledge of the modern estates but he also loves older character properties. With any property, he markets time is taken to describe the lifestyle on offer with the home rather than just describing bricks and mortar, which is quite a unique skill in this day and age. He keeps a close eye on proceedings and is involved personally in everything that goes on at Foxhall Estate Agents and runs the same with partner EmmaJane, who is the Office Manager and Senior Valuer within the business. He is a family man and they have six grown up children between them! He is a member of Rushmere Golf Club, a keen swimmer, a cyclist, dog walker and has a passion for anything on two wheels or four! A little known fact is that he used to produce his own Dr Who magazine! Jonathan will provide a whole host of professional and technical comparative evidence to back up the valuation figure he will place on your home.

Emma-Jane, is Jonathan’s partner and has over 30 years industry experience including 25 years within conveyancing, sales progression, negotiating and valuing. She brings a level of calmness and level headedness to the team and is extremely good at explaining the valuing and marketing process and also an asset in conflict resolution and able to bring both owners and buyers to the table on a sale. She is well known for going the extra mile and often helps both buyers and sellers outside of office hours. Closely assisting Jonathan in respect of the running of the company as the Office Manager and individual property marketing as she is also an expert on our 360 virtual tours, photography, floorplans, digital marketing and social media ensuring that your property reaches the maximum number of viewers. She was also the first in the office to complete and qualify under the Enhanced Training Scheme required for membership of the Guild of Property Professionals. She has taken like a duck to water when valuing property and now has progressed to Senior Valuer taking on town and village properties with a particular speciality for the larger or more unusual homes. Following a move to Suffolk, from Bedfordshire where she was born, Emma has lived in the Ipswich area for many years particularly on the Shotley peninsula for over 20 years. Prior to joining estate agency, Emma-Jane had worked in her parents’ law firm in Hendon, London, starting as a junior at 18 years old and finishing as the branch manager upon leaving to have her first son. This is where she first became interested in property, assisting the solicitors, who specialised in conveyancing, probate, crime and matrimonial work. Since then she has spent all her working life in successful family run firms and always in customer facing environments. Personally, she has raised four children but also two litters of huskies so she is very used to keeping busy! Somehow she also finds time to pursue her love of gardening, crocheting, photography, art, crafts and dog walking and training. She enjoys a good puzzle or quiz, cooking, spending time with her adult children, friends and family. As a proud member and liason support for all LGBTQIA+ training and matters, Emma-Jane is a particularly keen advocate in this area. We are confident that you will get on well with Emma-Jane and she will be happy to answer all your property related questions with a depth of knowledge that is second to none and she has a particular eye for detail!

Jenna has been in the industry nearly 20 years and therefore has years of experience selling in all types of market conditions. She is well known and respected within the Ipswich Property Industry and has gained an excellent reputation through many years of honest exceptional customer service. Her knowledge of the business of selling homes is second to none. She really understands the need to see the process through to the end and is able to negotiate her way successfully around any stumbling blocks to complete the sale. She has lived in Ipswich all her life, loves to collect vinyl records, go to gigs, gardening especially has a fascination with houseplants, the weirder the better! She also enjoys walking and spoiling her dog Woodstock.

Chris has nearly 43 years experience in the industry. He is hugely knowledgeable in all aspects of estate agency but specialises in valuing and is ideally placed to help with your home move. Life in the property industry for Chris started with the now closed Bairstowe Eves in Ipswich in 1981. He quickly rose to branch manager level, overseeing their Ipswich office for nearly 15 years. He then worked for Abbotts in the Wickham Market branch for a number of years giving him extensive knowledge of the villages and towns north and east of Ipswich. He also knows the Capel St Mary area like the back of his hand having lived there for a number of years. Like many before and since, Chris became disillusioned with big national estate agents. He joined Jonathan Waters Estate Agents in Ipswich in 2012, when it was still owned by Jonathan Waters. New owners took over upon Mr Waters’ retirement and sadly the business closed in 2018. Chris has now returned, refreshed and revitalised and has rejoined Jonathan Waters’ new family run Foxhall Estate Agents, which opened on 1st June 2019. Over the years he has experienced the highs and lows of the property market and is very well positioned to know what it takes to sell a property in these challenging times. Chris is a keen sportsman and likes to keep fit. He also follows the Ipswich Witches speedway team and having recently moved home himself currently has a DIY project on his hands. However, don’t ask him what football team he supports – they are not doing very well at the moment! Drowning his sorrows, he likes to spend his free time with his wife Rachel and family, his two cats Ellie and Lana, watching bands, eating out and visiting Cyprus. Tom is always first into the office of a morning, a very early riser, he has already been to the gym and had a swim before he gets to work and is always immaculately presented. Tom is a key member of our negotiating and valuing team. We head-hunted him from a rival agency after we kept hearing stories of this red-hot Sales Negotiator/Valuer in the east Ipswich area and he hasn’t disappointed us since his arrival early in 2022. In his free time Tom likes to spend time with his girlfriend Leanne and family and walking his dog Wolfie.

Kevin is an absolute expert at judging the market and getting the valuation price spot on. His photography and presentation of properties are the envy of many of our competitors. Sellers who have struggled with a previous agent are amazed as to how he is able to make their property look so much more attractive. He is also very adept at selling the properties too. When he is not working Kevin likes to spend his freetime treading the boards and has appeared in many local threatre productions and even as the leading man with solo songs to sing! As well as this Kevin plays football for Coddenham Athletics and plays in a darts league He also loves spending time with his family and friends, his wife Molly (also a talented actor and singer) and his young daughter and dog Pepe. He is also fluent in British Sign Language.

Jake is a highly capable negotiator and valuer having over 10 years experience with another local estate agent. Jake joined us in the Spring of 2024 and made an instant impact on the sales team which went on to break the all time best sales month record three times in the next six months. Jake’s cheery optimistic and friendly nature helps in all aspects of the sales process, in which he works tirelessly to get maximum price for our sellers’ properties. He has played football at a very high level and currently plays alongside Kevin for Coddenham Athletics and also enjoys going to speedway and stock cars with his partner Emily and his young son.

Jed has a very strong work ethic and has superb telephone skills, following a number of years selling luxury cruises over the phone and planning and booking customers’ dream holidays. Jed has lived in the villages north east of Ipswich so his knowledge of the Woodbridge to Rendlesham area is second to none. He is currently on the move as he and his partner are in the process of moving into their first home, a new build in the Stowmarket area. This has helped Jed enormously when assisting first time buyers, enabling him to relate to the ups and downs they may be going through. Jed loves accompaning viewers round the properties on our books as this enable him to drive in his very impressive Golf GTi, which he keeps immaculately presented at all times.

Kaz has spent many years in estate agency in both sales and lettings. This gives her an additional advantage to offer advice for landlords who are considering buying investment properties. One of Kaz’s main roles here at Foxhall is showing viewers round properties which she carries out in her usual friendly and cheery manner and is frequently praised by viewers. She is another former member of Jonathan Waters Estate Agents staff which Jonathan has been able to tempt back to join Foxhall. She lives on the Shotley peninsula with her husband and two sons and in her spare time loves crafting as well as working on her house and garden.

You may well meet Cheryl who is a key member of our viewing team. She will show you round in a relaxed and un-pushy manner in your own time. Cheryl is unflappable and no matter how busy the day is she will be calm as a mill pond. She has lived in the east Ipswich area all her live and this knowledge of the area is second to none. This helps when she is speaking to viewers about the benefits of living here as well as the properties themselves. Cheryl is an absolute petrolhead in her space time, and she helps her sons with their high performance cars. She also enjoys watching the stock car racing at Foxhall stadium and taking her dogs Oakley and Cooper for long walks!

Holly is our very organised and efficient viewings specialist. She is very interested in property and looks beyond the bricks and mortar and can help advise buyers in a creative manner on the potential that a home has to offer. She has lived in the Kesgrave area for most of her life so knows this part of Suffolk like the back of her hand. In her spare time she likes spending time with her young family, going to walks, to the gym and reading.

Sigourney has several years experience in both estate agency and conveyancing. From the point of offer to a successful completion her insight can help make the process as smooth as possible. Throughout her time working in the industry she has established exceptional relationships with most of the local law firms as well as other estate agents. We believe her knowledge of the legal process and experience offering impeccable customer service makes her a great addition to the team. She is a mum who enjoys spending her weekends with family and friends and caring for her two cats Toulouse and Gizmo and dog Dutchess. She has a passion for baking and loves anything Disney.

Debbie offers a highly professional approach to the house moving process with her extensive knowledge and experience of the entire journey from start to finish. She has worked for 15 years within independent estate agency, where the focus is on taking time to get to know our buyers and sellers needs and hopes and clients are treated as friends rather than being just a number. During this time she has also worked for Fine and Country dealing with expensive homes in the £600,000 to £1,000,000 price bracket, many of them in rural locations. This, combined with the fact that she has lived in Suffolk villages for nearly 25 years means that she can use her expertise to advise clients wishing to sell their expensive properties. She is also very well placed to advise any clients looking to do refurbishment and work to a property having overseen an extensive total renovation of her Suffolk farmhouse. Now that’s complete you would think she would want to sit and put her feet up but Debbie is always active with cycling, kayaking and anything involving the great outdoors. Little known fact – she loves donkeys!

When Emma joined us she brought with her the two Foxhall main requirements – has lived in Ipswich all her life and has over 31 years experience in sales and customer service. Emma is incredibly conscientous, perfect for her role and will often work early and late to ensure clients get their details and that they are then made live on Rightmove. Her calm, unflappable manner and sheer hard work quickly ensured that she become a vital contribution to the team. She loves pub quizzing and karaoke. Her favourite films are Aliens and Halloween, she loves Stitch and she is another West Ham fan, which, on their current form, is a bit of a sore subject at the moment!

Barry is a huge scoop for Foxhall Estate Agents having worked within the corporate estate agency since 1998 and therefore adds another 27 years experience to the Foxhall team.

In his time, he has successfully marketed and sold thousands of properties and has always received very positive comments and exceptional feedback to his service. His move to the independent estate agency world has highlighted how Foxhall concentrates so much more on selling the properties rather than the add on ancillary services and how we offer so much more of a personal approach here.

Being local, Barry knows Kesgrave like the back of his hand having lived and worked in the IP5, Martlesham Heath and Rushmere St. Andrew area for many years. Back in the early 2000s he worked at the Bairstow Eves office, Main Road, Kesgrave at a time when Grange Farm was only half built. He has been extensively involved in the development of much of the later properties within part-exchange deals.

His children have all gone to either Heath, Birchwood or Cedarwood Primary schools and are now enjoying life at Kesgrave High School. His wife, Sarah, works as a practice manager for architects on Grange Farm development. A likeable chap, many people who will have previously met Barry will know his friendly cheerful nature as well as his exceptional levels of professionalism, knowledge and expertise.
